Individual Counseling
At times students may need help from the School Counselor on an individual basis for an issue that is impacting them personally or impacting their school success. Students at Kenwood Station know there are many different ways I help students, including one-on-one support. Students can set up a time to meet with me or find me when a need arises. A parent or a teacher can also refer a student for Individual Counseling. One-on-one help can take the form of simply listening and comforting, talking through a problem, helping students self-select solutions, goal setting, etc.
If you are concerned that your child has significant needs for Individual Counseling, beyond the role of the School Counselor, I would be happy to help you connect to a Counselor or Therapist in our community that would be a good fit for your child's needs.
If you think your child would benefit from Individual Counseling please contact me at (502) 241-1452 Ext. 309 or by email at [email protected].
